Onward, Ever

Telling the Auburn story of hard work and perseverence through animation

Animation & Motion

This animation was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Harbert College, its pursuit of academic excellence and the closing of a record-breaking capital campaign. This piece illuminates the journey the college and its alumni have taken and continue to take as they work to improve the world. It also reflects the efforts to give back to the college and make investments in the world for generations to come. This animation received a Platinum Award from the Hermes Creative Awards competition.

The birth of a metaphor

Auburn’s live eagle, Spirit, served as inspiration for our computer-generated eagle.

Many audience members were so moved by the particle-based raptor that we were asked to recreate it for several projects that followed. 3D modeling, rigging, and particle system simulations were all used together to create the final effect. You can see the eagle’s most notable return in one of Auburn’s PSAs.
